Ingredients
4 pounds cooking apples - granny smiths are the best
1 to 1 and 1/2 cups water
1/2 to 1 cup sugar
cinnamon to taste
Directions
- Peel and core the apples - cut in quarters
- Boil in a large pan with cinnamon, 1/2 c. sugar and water
- Mash apples and add sugar and cinnamon to taste
