Hard Rock Cafe - Pulled Pig Sandwiches

Pulled Pork
1 qt. hot water
1 qt.apple cider vinegar
1/2 c. Tabasco sauce
1/2 c. sugar
3 lb. pork shoulder, bone in

Pig Sauce
2 c. Heinz ketchup
2 1/4 c. cider vinegar
1 3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 Tbsp. course black pepper
1 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. granulated garlic
3 Tbsp. vegetable oil

Pulled Pork:
  1. In a large bowl, add vinegar, Tabasco and sugar to hot water. Stir to dissolve sugar.
  2. Pour marinade over pork, cover and refrigerate at least 12 hours.
  3. Remove pork from marinade. Place in baking pan; cook in a preheated 450 degree oven until well browned.
  4. Cover with foil, pour some marinade over pork, lower temp to 300 and slow roast for an additional 2 hours, or until meat gently pulls away from the bone.
Pig Sauce
  1. Place all ingredients except veggie oil in a sauce pan.
  2. Stir and bring to a boil.
  3. Stir in veggie oil, let simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Place in storage container and refrigerate.
