It is that time of the year and I am looking forward to using up the apples we will be collecting from Greenbluff in Apple Pie. One of Adam's favorite's is Lynne's Apple Crumb Pie with the whipping cream topping. That is got to be one of the best pies ever! (Sidebar - begging Lynne for the recipe - please?!?)
One thing I wish I would have done many years ago was learn from Auntie Fern how to make her amazing pie crust. I have never had a crust so flaky. It was probably because she used lard. I wonder if you can even get lard anymore?
